Kathryn Dobbins is a SHW member and provide the following opportunity.

I have a climate-controlled metal building on my 2-acre working vineyard (former Fawnridge Winery site) and am offering limited private wine storage with optional hands-on mentoring for serious home winemakers.

What’s Included:

•  Secure, temperature-controlled storage for your carboys, barrels, or bottled wine.

•  Appointment-only access — no drop-ins, very low traffic (I’m looking for just 2–3 clients total).

•  Optional mentoring: I’m actively making my own wine from our estate Barbera, Syrah, and Zin grapes (12 small test batches this year) and happy to share what I’m learning — fermentation schedules, racking, blending, tasting notes, equipment tips, etc. We can schedule occasional guided sessions during your visits.

Perfect for:

•  Home winemakers who want reliable, professional-grade storage without garage temperature swings.

•  Someone looking for low-key guidance from a fellow small-scale grower without joining a big club or class.

Details:

•  Monthly fee: $TBD per carboy/pallet space (or flat monthly rate — let’s discuss what works for your volume).

•  Strictly personal-use wine only (no commercial production or sales on site).

•  Signed simple storage/mentoring agreement and liability waiver required.

•  Located at 5560 Fawnridge Road, Auburn (F-B zoned vineyard property).

This is a very limited, low-key opportunity — I’m doing this to help offset building utilities while building community with a couple of like-minded makers. If you’re detail-oriented, respectful of the space, and want reliable storage plus occasional winemaking conversation, I’d love to hear from you.

Reply with a bit about your winemaking experience and storage needs, and we can set up a time to chat or tour the space (by appointment).

Looking forward to connecting with a couple of good people!
