Once again, the Sacramento Home Winemakers is proud to partner with the California State Fair to coordinate the Home Wine Competition. Donna Bettencourt will again, along with Mike Menard, be coordinating the competition.
This competition is one of the largest home wine competitions in the state with over 700 entries. Entrants not only will receive awards and accolades but also written feedback from the judges.
Entres may be delivered to or dropped off at the State Fair’s administration building in Sacramento. Additionally, there are several drop- off locations throughout the state. Furthermore, Donna Bettencourt can accept your entries (SHW members only) at SHW’s March 18 meeting. Ensure that your entries have been registered online and affixed with a bottle label.
- The entry fee of $22 is the same as the past two years with an entry requirement of a single 750 ml bottle.
- Online entries open March 1 and close March 28.
- The Awards Ceremony is at Cal Expo on May 30th.
