Once again, Sacramento Home Winemakers will be staffing the Home Winemaking Booth at the California State Fair.
This year’s fair dates are July 11 – July 27.
- We are looking for volunteers to work 3 hour shifts, greeting and answering questions from interested fair goers.
- Each volunteer will be provided a free admission pass to the State Fair and a parking pass for the day(s) volunteered. Volunteers will also be provided a FAQ and instructions for the booth. You can also enjoy the Fair before and/or after your volunteer shift(s).
- We are currently filling Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts: 10:30am-1:30pm; 1:30pm-4:30pm; and 4:30pm-7:30pm.Go to https://shw.ivolunteer.com/home_winemaking_2025 to sign up to volunteer
As a show of our appreciation, everyone who volunteers (and shows up) for a shift will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win two (2) tickets to the 2025 SHW Holiday Dinner, a value of approx. $120!
- One (1) shift- 1 ticket
- Two (2) shifts – 2 tickets
- Three (3) shifts- 5 tickets
- Each shift greater than three (3) follows the same award as above.
This is a fun event, where you get to meet like-minded people and talk about your love of winemaking and introduce them to our upcoming Winemaking 101 class.
No experience is required! If you are new to SHW and winemaking, and do not feel confident answering questions, we can match you with a more seasoned winemaker.
