Come on a sensory journey into the fascinating world of sherry wine on led by Roxanne O’Brien.

Transported to Jerez’s “Sherry Triangle” and its centuries old bodegas and rich traditions, we will sample three diverse styles of sherry—dry, fresh, and saline biological aged manzanilla, and oxidatively aged amontillado and oloroso styles. We will discuss vineyard basics, the cellar and the unique aging process of the solera system.

Roxanne O’Brien is a chef, culinary/cheese professional, and educator, as well as a Certified Sherry Wine Specialist (CSWS) from the House of Lustau. She specializes in food and wine pairings and tastings; she is currently studying for WSET Level 3 and Spanish Wine Scholar certifications.

Wines to be tasted from Lustau:

  • Manzanilla – Papirusa / Sanlucar de Barrameda
  • Amontillado – Los Arcos / Jerez de la Frontera
  • Oloroso – Don Nuño / Jerez de la Fronte

Let’s complete the experience with a tapas-themed potluck after the presentation. In addition to a dish to share, bring water to keep you hydrated, optional bottle of wine, and a writing utensil for note-taking.
