October 21, 2026 Meeting

“Making Award Winning Fruit Wines”

Join your fellow SHW members on Wednesday October 21st 7 pm at the Monthly Meeting. Our featured program will be a moderated panel discussion with four (4) of SHW’s award winning fruit wine makers.  Judy Pinegar, Don Vinson, Scott Carpenter, and Byron Froman will share the secrets of their success from fruit (and vegetable) selection and processing, to yeast selection, acid and sugar adjustments, through finishing and fining.  Tastings will be available of selected fruit wines including Pomegranate, Pineapple Guava, Olallieberry, Apricot, and, yes, Jalapeno.  Learn how to make fruit wine from the experts!
