If you’ve been wanting to make wine from different varieties but couldn’t because you didn’t meet the grower’s minimum, this group buy opportunity may be for you.
Clos du Lac is an established vineyard community in Loomis that sells to both commercial wineries and home wine makers. For the 2026 harvest, they offer for sale the following varieties at pre-season prices:
- Cabernet Franc $1300 / ton
- Petit Verdot $1800 / ton
- Petite Sirah $2200 / ton
- Mourvedre $1500 / ton
Thad Rodgers is placing his order (quantity meets grower’s minimum) for Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Petite Sirah and you are welcome to add to his order. At harvest, Thad will provide the macro bins and transport the ordered grapes to his crush pad in Auburn. The group will together weigh and crush (if desired).
