Meeting Program: this Wednesday’s meeting will give you a break from this crazy harvest. Bring your wine glass and enjoy an evening of armchair travel as members Robert and Darcy Wharton flash up their colorful slides and share their best Tuscan travel moments. There’s so much to see and do in Tuscany, let’s hope this evening inspires you to plan next year’s Italian vacation.
Wine Donations for TASTE: if you’re donating wines to be poured at UC Davis’ October 11 TASTE event, we’ll be accepting your wines at the September 17 meeting. See this link for more details. Contact VP Byron Froman if you wish to donate wines but can’t make it to the meeting.
Tasting Table: have a wine that you would like feedback on? Bring a bottle to the meeting labeled only with the varietal/blend and vintage. Check in with Sue Nemeth at a table to the left of the doors. Before and after the meeting, people can taste and comment on your wine. Before you leave the meeting, pick up your wine and written feedback. No one knows whose wines they tasted and no knows who provides comments.
The Fine Print: Wednesday’s meeting starts at 7pm upstairs at the Turn Verein at 3349 J Street in Sacramento. Front doors open at 6:30 pm. Don’t forget your wine glass. Bring an optional bottle of wine to share. Your help setting up and cleaning up is appreciated. Take your phone calls and side conversations outside the room to give them the privacy they deserve.
