  • Used during initial fermentation
  • White wine: 0.5 to 1 g/L;
  • Red wine: 1 to 3 g/L (E.G.: For 10 gallons of red grape must, one could add approx. 38 to 114 grams of oak chips, depending upon personal discernment.)
