Are you interested in learning to make wine? Come to the Club’s Winemaking 101 Workshop and start making wine this harvest. Yes, you can make wine that you’ll be so proud of that that your friends and family won’t let you in the door without a bottle or two.
Whether you are an aspiring wine maker or have made a vintage or two, this two-part workshop is designed for you. The parts:
- August 7 (Thursday), virtual, 6:30 pm – 8 pm. Covered are basic wine making steps for red wine, equipment use and safety, mentors, and grape resources. Zoom login credentials will be provided upon registration completion.
- August 9 (Saturday), in person, 9 am – 2 pm (address will be provided upon registration completion). See the process, meet mentors, ask questions, walk the vineyard,, sample wines, enjoy a potluck lunch.
This workshop is open to everyone who is at least 21years of age:
- SHW Members: free for Sacramento Home Winemakers members even if you have attended this workshop before and wish to refresh.
- Non-SHW Members: workshop fee is $30 per person. The workshop fee can be applied to 2025 membership if joining by the August 9 workshop (SHW membership covers up to 2 persons at same address). See this link for membership benefits.
