Food, wine, sparkly lights, wine, jokes and lots of smiles all made for a festive Club holiday party. It was an evening filled with the year’s Club activities, honoring members’ contributions and welcoming a new year.

Marco Squazzin, president in 2024 and 2025 was recognized for his steadfast leadership. As President Marco passed the gavel to President-Elect Byron Froman, he imparted words of wisdom … psst … all they want to do is make wine….

Board of Directors Chairman Joe McGillivray bestowed the annual awards:

  • Educator of the the Year – Chuck Rairdan
  • Volunteer of the Year – Mike Menard
  • Most Improved Winemaker of the Year – Scott Carpenter
  • Rookie of the Year- Jamie Garrett
  • Community Award – Turn Verein

Three members competed for the coveted Winemaker of the Year award and the scores were so close! Byron Froman earned the honors with the winning score and was awarded the honors by Assistant Chief Judge Bill Staehlin.

Successful events like this require commitment and dedicated volunteers. Many thanks to Holiday Party Coordinator Kristin Lemay who again made this party an elegant reality. She was assisted by a hard-working crew including Kathy Froman who created the tabletop decor. Much appreciation is also extended to the party’s fundraising coordinators Ron and Mary Boyle who make this important piece look effortless (and we know it isn’t!).

In closing, we couldn’t do it without you. Your generous support for the Club is appreciated!
