Mark your calendars for SHW’s Holiday Party on December 14 at the Turn Verein. We’ll nosh on appetizers, enjoy members’ wines, and dine on a scrumptious dinner. The festivities include a silent auction, formal transition of the executive boards, presentations of the Club’s annual awards, and announcement of the successful competitor in the Winemaker of the Year contest.
It takes a small village to make a multi-faceted event like the Holiday Party come together. If you didn’t get a chance to volunteer or donate to the Club this year, you could make it happen at this event.
Holiday Party Coordinator Kevin Lemay seeks members to help with selecting menu options, room set-up, decor, music, designing and printing programs, check-in, and more. Contact President Kevin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Holiday Party Silent Auction is an important part of the Club’s operating budget. In the recent past, this activity is the second largest revenue source for the Club (the largest revenue source is membership dues). Heather Rodgers has stepped up as the Holiday Party Silent Auction Coordinator and she’ll need your help in several areas: volunteers assisting in the logistics and volunteers seeking donations.
Donations … if you were at this year’s Jubilee, that event’s silent auction included generous wine dinners and creative baskets. Give back to the club by donating in fun and interesting ways! Do you like to entertain? Donate an appetizer party or dinner. Offer a donation of lunch for 2 at your favorite dining spot. In previous years, members have donated time at their vacation homes or time shares, specialized cooking lessons, a few hours of their time (small engine repair, electrical work, window cleaning), grapes, artwork, and gift certificates.
Let Kevin and Heather know that you’d like to contribute. Contact President Kevin Lemay at email@example.com. Heather can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
