For 50 years, dedicated Club volunteers have guided the Club in supporting home winemakers. SHW is known for its educational focus in its monthly meetings and supporting programs.
SHW’s leadership is comprised of an elected Executive Board, and a Board of Directors (includes the previous four past presidents and the sitting president). The Board of Directors also serves as the Nominating Committee. Additionally, the President appoints positions that support the Club including Cellar Master, Education Committee Chair, and Hospitality Coordinator.
The Board of Directors invites nominations for the 2024 Executive Board positions of president, vice president, treasurer, membership chairperson, and up to five members at large. The board secretary position, a two-year term, is not up for election in 2024. The positions of vice president and membership chairperson can be co-elected with another Club member. Please apprise Board of Director Chairperson Donna Bettencourt of your interest in the positions up for election and submit your name by October 17. The annual elections are held at the Club’s November general meeting and nominations will also be taken from the floor then.
