Grower Will Dixon writes:

“I typically sell all of our fruit to a Sonoma County winery, the same one for 30 years.
Our 10 acre vineyard is 118 years old and in Fulton, Russian River Valley, Sonoma.
Primarily zinfandel the vineyard has mixed black varieties interplanted. The section still hanging is going to be primarily zin.

The fruit is holding up well and at about 25+ brix. I will have specific brix from delivery and soaked to share with an interested buyer on or around Friday 10/15/21. I expect the fruit to hold up well for the next 1-2 weeks.

This year we ended up leaving .5 ton on the vines yesterday when harvesting due to some confusion with the winery. This gives the opportunity for an interested winemaker to get some high quality fruit for about 1/2 the market wholesale rate. I would like to sell for $3000/ton, or may accept a reasonable offer.

Buyer would be responsible to pick and transport the fruit. I would be onsite.
I would also throw in some of the second harvest and smaller clusters still available throughout the vineyard, if desired.”
