We still about 4 tons of French Colombard grapes available for picking now in Ceres (Stanislaus County).
The contracted commercial winery didn’t take them all as expected. They are 30 year old vines, Brix was about 20 at the end of August. Makes a lovely, crisp, high acid varietal wine, blends great with almost anything, or is a common component of sparkling wine.
$400 per ton or $0.25 per pound, buyer does the harvesting at their convenience, any day is fine.
