The Program. This Wednesday’s meeting is a busy one! Dave Dart, co-owner and winemaker at D’art Winery in Lodi, will be evaluating members’ port, dessert, fruit, and sparkling wines. Dave is a former SHW member and judges at the Club’s Jubilee. He’ll also be talking about port.
Ideally, please bring two 750ml bottles of your wines along with a completed wine-evaluation-form. VP Donna Bettencourt would appreciate a “heads up” if you plan to bring your wines – contact her at email@example.com. Extra forms are available at the meeting.
The Election. But before we start tasting…November is the Club’s annual meeting which includes the election of the incoming year’s officer positions. See the November newsletter for the slate of nominees. Additional nominations are also taken from the floor at the meeting. If you can’t be at the meeting to cast your vote, please send your decisions to the 2016 SHW Secretary Bruce Currie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Party. We end the year with a festive Holiday Party and Fundraiser on December 14, the second Wednesday in December. Enjoy an evening with shared wines, a delicious dinner buffet, bidding on unique silent auction items, and cheering on the recipients of SHW’s annual awards including the highly competitive Winemaker of the Year.
The Chance. To kick things off, at Wednesday’s meeting Vickie Rosalli will be telling you about some really cool silent auction items members are donating. We’ll also be raffling off 2 Holiday Party and Fundraiser dinner tickets (separately), each worth $50. Raffle tickets are $5 apiece or 3 for $10. Thank you for your support!
