March 19 Meeting – Alison Crowe: Pinot Noir’s Winemaking Challenges and Rewards

The March 19 meeting features WineMaker magazine’s own “Wine Wizard” Alison Crowe who wil be discussing the challenges and rewards of making Pinot Noir.

Alison is a graduate of UC Davis’ Viticulture and Enology program.  She current serves as the head winemaker for Plata Wine Partners, LLC, in Napa and provides custom winemaking services and consulting to nationally-distributed as well as start-up brands.  Alison is also the author of the book “The Winemakers Answer Book: Solutions to Every Problem, Answers to Every Question” and is also a frequent contributor to Wine Business Monthly.

Alison is bringing 3 Pinot Noirs for comparative tasting.  Please bring 3 wine glass for your use.  The meeting is free to SHW members and $10 for non-members.
