Grower Ryan McBride writes:
Just wanted to offer my grapes for sale to the Sacramento Home Winemakers Club this year. I had a few club members come out last year and would love to have them back again. I’ve got a small 2 acre block of 19-year old Syrah vines located in Lodi, CA in the Mokelumne River AVA.
I’m selling grapes for $800/ton or $0.50/lb you pick. The grapes are looking great this year but it’s a small crop, probably only 3 tons per acre or so. I started a Facebook page this year and have been posting pretty regularly so folks can see how things have been progressing in the vineyard. https://www.facebook.com/mcbridevineyard/.
If interested, contact Ryan McBride at (209) 981-5746.

SHW members Kim and Judy Bakke have boutique Cabernet Franc for sale.
70 cents a pound. 1/2 – 1 ton available. 100 pound minimum. You cut and take.
Our grapes are farmed with organic principals (no Round Up) and great attention to vineyard management and pruning detail. These 11-year-old vines are located in Orangevale CA on a former commercial boutique vineyard and benefit from a North to South sun exposure and consistent Delta Breeze. Our 2018 Cabernet Franc earned a double gold and best of class in this year’s SHW Jubilee and has striking cherry notes.
If interested please contact Kim and Judy Bakke, 530-320-1179. You are welcome to come visit and walk the vineyard.
Tom McFadden has about 3, 000 lbs of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Lodi, Alta Mesa AVA. available for home wine makers again this year.
60 cents per pound, you pick, 75 cents grower pick. There will be a crusher/destemmer on site to use for $10.
The vineyard is in Wilton and the fruit is about halfway thru veraison. The berries are a little small this year but this means the skin to juice ratio makes for better wine.
Tom made a Rose’ in 2017 from wines made from these grapes and have earned Gold Awards for that wine pouring it at the State Fair Awards Ceremony the last two years.
