The Jubilee Ribbons and Judging sheets will be at the next General Meeting THIS Wednesday 7/18/18. Please pick them up there. Also buy stickers for silver, gold and bronze awards to put on your bottles when you pass them out to friends and family!?
If you volunteered to work at the State Fair SHW Booth, please come and pick up your parking tickets, and entrance tickets into the State Fair at the meeting!!
Bring your cash or checkbook to purchase a 2018 SHW “CRUSH” T shirt at the meeting too!!
One of the perks of being an SHW member is the ability to rent the Club’s large pieces of wine making equipment including the destemmer-crusher and basket / rachet presses. Prior to renting, SHW requires members to be trained in the safe operation and cleaning protocol for this equipment.
At Winemaking 101 on Saturday July 28, SHW will be demonstrating the use and care of this equipment. The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Members not participating in the workshop and wish to be certified to rent Club equipment can show up at any time before 1:00 p.m. for the run-thru. Equipment training and care is a part of the workshop for attendees.
If you are interested, please contact Christa Ring at 916 505-8247 and email@example.com.
Second call… The State Fair is less than two weeks away and there are still plenty of available slots to volunteer to staff the winemakers booth. Remember, each day you volunteer you will receive a complimentary parking pass and fair ticket. When you are not staffing the booth, you can enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the fair!
